FAQ

What does 10x42 mean?

The first number, 10, indicates the magnification of the binoculars, while the second number, 42, indicates the diameter of the objective lenses, as measured in millimeters.

The larger the objective lenses, the more light the binoculars can gather, and the better the quality of the image the binoculars will produce.

How far can I see with 10x42 binoculars?

The binoculars are capable of magnifying any distant object you can see with your eyes.

Whether it’s a building, birds, flora and fauna, sea-life or even the night sky, the 10x42 binoculars will allow you to see it up-close and in crystal-clear detail.

Beyond the Moon and planets, you’ll also be able to study the stars, nebulae and star clusters of our own Milky Way galaxy!

Are 10x42 binoculars good for bird watching?

Absolutely! The SkyGenius 10x42 binoculars feature the highest quality BaK-4 prisms and fully multi-coated optics to produce the perfect combination of magnification and sharp, colorful views.

The waterproof roof prism design also results in a lightweight binocular that’s ideal for hiking and camping - no matter what the weather throws at you!

How do I attach the strap?

01 Remove the buckle from each end of the strap.

02 Thread the strap through the buckle

03 Now thread the strap through the bracket on side of the binoculars.

04 Loop the strap back through the buckle.

05 Move the binder over the end of the strap.

06 Pull the strap to ensure it’s secure. Then repeat the process for the other end of the strap.

How can I adjust the binoculars?

How to adjust and focus 10x42 binoculars

Step1

If you're not wearing glasses, extend the eyecups by turning them counter-clockwise. (Eyeglass wearers do not need to take this step.)

Step 2

Close your right eye and turn the center focus wheel until the view through the left eyepiece is sharp and clear.

Step 3

Open your right eye and turn the right eye wheel (the diopter adjustment) until the view through both eyepieces is in focus.

Step 4

Move both barrels of the binoculars until you’re able to see a single circular field of view.
